Freedom for blitzen!

Blitzen’s first day of freedom after being rescued from being euthanized by a shelter.

He is 40lbs, 6 months old. We rescued him 25 minutes before the guillotine (euthanasia). We had him admitted immediately into veterinary care where it was discovered he has a double ear infection and an infected abscess in his mouth.
He is now recovering at his Behaviourist’s in Rochester after a 7-hour drive. This is his first outing.

We will keep you updated on his progress. We are asking for donations for his continued care and training. He will eventually be available for adoption.

Donations can be made here directly on our site: https://donorbox.org/donations-ATAR?default_interval=o

Update on our kobe bear

Kobe Bear has a neurogenitive disease where he chews off and eats his feet. He has chewed off one already. The X-rays showed the bones in his intestines. The second foot is badly damaged. Yet he now walks around happy as a clam. He must wear a double cone for the remainder of his life.

Let’s give thanks to the remarkable Dr. Schwartz of the AMC, who performed multiple surgeries, and AMC’s Dr. McCue, the neurologist, who also helped pull the small crippled boy through. We also want to thank Dr. Victor LaGinestra of The Animal Hospital of Roslyn for playing a big part in Kobe's recovery. Kudos to all and to Air Twiga Animal Rescue!
