Adoption Fees

No adoption fees required, but we suggest a tax-deductible donation of $300 except for select dogs.

Frequently Asked Questions

+ How do I Adopt A Dog?

The first step to adopting a dog is by filling out our pre-adoption application form to evaluate whether or not you are an ideal candidate for an AirTwiga pet. Write to: TwigaAir@gmail.com

+ Has my new pet been vaccinated and gotten the proper treatments?

YES. Your pet has been fully vetted, received necessary vaccinations and had also attended the highly respected boarding school of Animal Behavior Specialists where he or she was professionally trained by the renown Dr Karlene Bonnes (PhD Cornell).

+ Is my new pet neutered/spayed?

Absolutely!

+ How long does the process take, can I take a dog home the same day?

Depends on whether the match is successful and adopter meets all requirements such a fenced in yard in good condition.

+ How are you different from traditional shelters?

Our dogs live in a private home, an island sanctuary. We prepare three homemade meals a day, and take the dogs out to private beach or paddocks five times a day. We offer professional training before and after adoption (see above). We provide cutting edge specialised veterinary care. Our dogs lack for nothing except their very own family.

+ I already have a pet, can I bring one of your dogs to meet him/her/them?

We ask that you bring every member of your family to meet your prospective new adoption, in particular your dog(s).

+ Can I foster a home for one of your dogs?

We adopt only.

+ What if I'm having issues with the dog i just adopted from airTwiga?

Bring you dog to us for further training with his new parent, or return him to us if it is not working out. Please keep in mind, a dog returned is a dog divorced. He will be emotionally affected as a result.

+ What is the return policy?

We ask that a dog be returned to us at any point during his lifetime if you are unable to keep him, no matter what the reason. We make a big effort to get it right the first time.
